Ordering Samples Before Purchasing Yardage

JB Silks strongly recommends ordering a sample swatch to confirm color and fabric suitability before placing an order for yardage. Sample swatches are an inexpensive way to test processes such as washing, drying, sewing, and dyeing prior to investing in larger quantities.

Sample Swatches and ½-Yard Cuts — Final Sale

All sample swatches and ½-yard cuts are final sales. JB Silks will not under any circumstances accept the return of any sample swatch or ½-yard cut.

Orders Under 12 Continuous Yards — Final Sale

All sales under 12 continuous yards are final sales and cannot be returned. All unauthorized returns will be refused by JB Silks. JB Silks reserves the right to treat all returns on a case-by-case basis. All transport costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Orders of 12 Continuous Yards or More

Sales of 12 continuous yards or more per color of a single fabric type that are not custom dyed or printed to specification may be returned with JB Silks' prior written permission only. The buyer must notify JB Silks in writing within 5 business days of receiving the fabric. No return will be accepted without prior written consent from JB Silks. A restocking fee of 25% of the value of the goods may apply. All transport costs are the responsibility of the buyer. JB Silks reserves the right to treat all returns on a case-by-case basis.

Order Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled in writing within 30 minutes of placement during business hours. After this window, orders enter processing and fabric of any length may have been cut. Once fabric has been cut, the order cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded regardless of the quantity ordered. Cancellation requests submitted after 30 minutes are at JB Silks' sole discretion and cannot be guaranteed.

Inspection Upon Receipt

Upon receiving the fabric, the buyer has 5 business days to notify JB Silks in writing of any visible defects. Fabric will be assumed to be acceptable if: 1) JB Silks is not notified in writing of visible defects within 5 business days, 2) the fabric or a portion thereof is resold or used, or 3) the buyer fails to inspect the fabric. JB Silks is not liable for defects that are within industry-accepted normal standards.

JB Silks Shipping Errors

If JB Silks ships the wrong fabric or color, the customer must notify JB Silks in writing at info@jbsilks.com within 5 business days of receiving the order. JB Silks will provide a prepaid return shipping label for the return of the original fabric. The method and timing of the replacement shipment is at JB Silks' sole discretion and will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Condition of Returned Fabric

JB Silks will not accept a fabric return after the fabric has been cut, used, washed, stained, exposed to perfumes or smoke, stored incorrectly, or has otherwise been processed or damaged in any way. All authorized returns are subject to receipt and inspection by JB Silks to determine whether the fabric remains in resalable condition, which is at the sole discretion of JB Silks. Fabric that does not meet JB Silks' return condition requirements will not qualify for any credit or refund.

Post-Delivery Storage Responsibility

Once a shipment has been confirmed as delivered by the carrier, JB Silks assumes no responsibility for damage resulting from the customer's failure to retrieve the package in a timely manner, or from improper storage following delivery. This includes, but is not limited to, damage caused by exposure to rain, moisture, extreme temperatures, or other environmental conditions. Silk fabric damaged due to improper post-delivery handling or storage is not eligible for return, refund, or exchange.

Damaged Packages

If a package arrives visibly damaged, customers should refuse the delivery if possible, or document the damage with photographs immediately upon receipt and contact the carrier directly to file a claim. For full details, please refer to JB Silks' Shipping Policy at jbsilks.com/policies/shipping.

Return Shipping Costs

All costs associated with any return to JB Silks — including but not limited to packaging, insurance, brokerage, tariffs, import/export costs, and any other costs or delays — are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
